Using Paypal with Metrobank

I’ve been using my metrobank savings account with paypal for almost 4 months now and its all good.

I opened up my metrobank account because I was to lazy cashing in checks from my client every month and I have to endure the long lines and lack of sleep. So anyway I found out that they have online tool too! I was like OMG!!!! give me one! so I opened up with just 2,000 pesos and after waiting some time its all good.

Ok, in order for you guys to successfully integrate your Metrobank account to paypal here’s what you need to do.

1) You have to have a metrobank direct access. This is what metrobank call its online access.

Once you have that, enroll your account and you can now pay your bills online, check your balance (or lack thereof) and apply for what ever loans you might have.

2) Open a paypal account.

Once you have your paypal account add your Account number.

Then paypal will ask you for the bank code and the bank code is 010269996 and select METROPOLITAN BANK & TRUST CO

When you withdraw your money, always do it by thursday so that you can have your funds on Monday :D

Expect 4 business days to have paypal process your money and deposit on your account. If you see your withdrawal request to be completed and its not yet deposited on your account. Fret not as either tomorrow or the next day it will be on your account at around 10 pm.

I just love Metrobank at the moment. I love BPI Family bank too for issuing me a checking account for only 5000 pesos! Now let me try issuing checks non chalantly. ahihihi.

May kinakaltas ba ang metrobank tuwing nagtratransfer ka ng paypal funds sa account mo? Kasi based sa research ko online, Unionbank lang yun hindi nagkakaltas.

The 50 pesos is the fee charged by PayPal when you withdraw amounts less than P7000, right?

What about Metrobank? Does it deduct some fee from the transferred amount? Is the deduction a flat fee or is it based on the amount transferred?

Hi, how do you apply for a metrobankdirect account? I can’t withdraw my money on paypal though I linked my Metrobank savings account, hinihingi nila yung credit or debit card ko which is wala naman, kaya nga ako naglink ng savings account.

You can apply for the metrobankdirect by going to the bank and filing up some form. They will give you your initial password then viola wait for it.

You need to also have a verified account to withdraw money though.

hi,

i just want to ask if you used credit card to verify your paypal account? i have researched that there would be a $1 plus charge to the credit card but would be given back to the paypal account for some time. would there be any future charges to the credit card if you used it to verify paypal account?

also, can i link Metrobank dollar savings account to paypal account?

@gillbates: aside from the Php50 that Paypal deducts for withdrawals less than 7,000Php, Metrobank deducts Php77 for every transaction.

BPI charges Php150, according to a friend.

@Op3r: so you didn’t use any credit/debit card to verify your account? I tried linking my metrobank ATM, pero nakalagay dun I need to lift my limit, kaya kelangan verified sya. waah! so ganun, pwede pala. gumastos pa ko ng Php350 para sa EON ko. huhu

I used Unionbank EON like 3 years ago to have my account verified. I mostly used my paypal account for some online shopping lang dati.

Hi! I dont know how to receive and pay via Paypal. Im planning to purchase things online and I dont know how to link my metrobank savings account to paypal. I dont know how to enroll it in metrobank direct. can you please give me detailed info about this? Would help a lot..thanks!!

Hi,

I linked my paypal account to my metrobank savings account for receiving payment. But for purchases, I have to use my credit card to load up my paypal account.

hello po..pa help po…kasi i use paypal account..i have still my balance in paypal and i wanted it to be deposit in my ATM savings account,,,,tapos ng send ang paypal ng 2 small amount skin to verify my account in paypal para sa limit..and its all done…but my question is and status sa paypal ay completed pero how many time ko na balance yung account q sa ATM wala pa ring laman…help nmn po…plz help me Op3r!!!thank you…
